Texas Realtors to stop using the term ‘Master’- & I am all for it!
Why use a term that is historically offensive when we don’t have to? As a Realtor, I am very aware that I operate within the epicenter of the economy. This is a both a responsibility & an opportunity to do better. I pledge to replace the word ‘master’ with ‘primary’ or ‘main’ when referring to the largest bedroom in the home. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley said, “Nothing is so painful to the mind as a great & sudden change” & we have the chance to be that change, no matter how small.

I think it’s really important to recognize or “review” businesses that are fantastic. There are way too many negative reviews online that are so negative & not helpful! Our County Homes surprised me in the best way possible! At times, working a new construction can feel rushed & impersonal, but my experience was the exact opposite. Stephanie, the builders rep, was an absolute peach to work with. I originally was looking into a townhome for an out of town client in the midst of COVID-19. As I was still self-isolating, she ever so kindly went into each of the properties to take videos & pictures. I do this for my clients all the time, but never have I had a fellow Realtor or rep offer to do this. I never felt like I was inconveniencing her. It’s always nice to work with people that enjoy their job.
